Skolar includes workflows for activating courses in Google Classroom, inviting students, and handling basic G Suite account actions for students.
What this integration allows#
From the admin side you can:
- activate a Skolar course in Google Classroom
- invite a student to a specific course
- archive Google Classroom courses for a school class
- activate G Suite accounts for students
- reset temporary passwords for G Suite accounts
Before using the integration#
Make sure:
- the school already has Google authorization and token configuration in place
- courses and students in Skolar are correct before syncing
- the academic team knows when to activate courses and when to archive them
- the right student is selected before activating or resetting an account
Recommended Google Classroom flow#
- Review the school class and its courses in Skolar.
- Activate the course that should be published in Google Classroom.
- Invite the required students from the appropriate workflow.
- Review the sync status before sharing access with teachers or students.
- Archive Classroom courses when the class or cycle is closed.
Recommended G Suite flow#
- Open the student profile.
- Go to the G Suite tab.
- Activate the account if the student does not have it ready yet.
- Generate a temporary password reset if needed.
- Communicate the change through your school’s internal process.
What to review when something is missing#
If the integration does not return courses or looks incomplete, check:
- whether Google authentication is still valid
- whether the course already has a Classroom mapping
- whether the student had already been invited to the same course
- whether the correct class or course was selected
Good practices#
- activate only courses that are already validated academically
- avoid creating invitations from duplicate records
- archive courses at class closeout to keep the institutional account organized
- use password reset only when necessary and document the change internally
Common issues#
Classroom is enabled for the school but courses do not appear#
This usually indicates an authentication problem or an invalid Google connection for the school.
A student invitation was triggered but does not show the expected result#
Review whether the student had already been invited, whether the course was activated first, and whether the right course was selected.
G Suite activation or password reset does not proceed#
Confirm that you are working on the right student and launching the action from the correct institutional Google tab.
