On this page Home Docs General Advanced tenant settings Institution settings centralize values that affect the entire school: integrations, module behavior, feature flags, and operational parameters.
When to use this screen# Use it when you need to:
enable or disable school-wide functionality review advanced values already defined for your tenant add a new configuration key that has been validated by support or your technical team remove a configuration that should no longer apply Before you edit anything# Before saving changes:
confirm the problem you are solving identify whether the change affects the entire institution or only one area record the previous value validate whether the change depends on another setting, such as newsletters or the payment gateway Recommended workflow# Open institution settings from the admin panel. Review existing values before creating new keys. Edit only settings you understand or that have been approved internally. If you add a new key, use a clear name and the value format expected by the system. Save and reload the screen to confirm the setting persists. Good practices# avoid mass changes without recording what changed test first in a sandbox school if the setting has operational impact use JSON values only when the setting really requires them delete obsolete keys only when you know they are no longer consumed Common scenarios# Newsletters and communications# Some institution settings enable or disable communication flows. If your team uses newsletters, review this screen together with the dedicated newsletter settings tab.
Online payments# The payment gateway depends on institution settings plus provider-specific configuration. Validate both before enabling online charges.
Warning signs after a change# After editing tenant settings, review whether you see:
errors when loading administrative views features hidden or disabled unexpectedly different behavior between schools or environments If any of these happens, restore the previous value and document the change before escalating it.
