In Skolar, guardians are both student contacts and possible billing owners.

What this flow covers

From the student record you can:

  • search for an existing guardian and assign them
  • create a new guardian
  • define kinship
  • update contact information
  • create one or more billing records for that guardian
  1. Open the correct student.
  2. Check whether the guardian already exists.
  3. Assign the existing guardian or create a new one.
  4. Set the correct kinship.
  5. Open the guardian profile and register billing data.
  6. Validate email, legal name, tax ID, and address before collecting payment.

Billing records

Billing records are attached to the guardian and include:

  • legal or business name
  • email
  • tax identifier
  • address
  • comments

This flow affects invoices, payment receipts, and online payment readiness.

Common issue

I cannot safely delete a billing record

If invoices already reference that billing record, Skolar keeps history intact so older financial records are not broken.
