Grade capture

Grade capture in Skolar is built around evaluation periods, criteria completeness, and controlled closeout.

Before closing a period#

Skolar validates:

• criteria completeness
• required course information
• whether the period can still be modified

Recommended workflow#

1. Open the correct course and period.
2. Confirm criteria are complete.
3. Enter grades.
4. Review the calculated result.
5. Print or export if needed.
6. Close the period only when the review is complete.

Common issue#

I cannot close the period#

Usually one or more criteria are incomplete or the period no longer allows modifications.
